Template:Species lists for islands warning

Species lists for islands should be interpreted with caution. Reported occurrences and mapped ranges may be inaccurate or overestimated due to limited biological sampling, incomplete surveys, and the coarse resolution of species distribution maps. The absence of a species from a list does not necessarily indicate true absence, and mapped ranges may extend beyond areas where a species has been confirmed. If you are aware of studies, surveys, or field records that confirm or exclude the presence of a species on an island, please contact WhiskerWiki to help improve the accuracy and completeness of these lists.
